Hi, I just downloaded the 2009 version. However I cant search for any addresses. I never had a problem with this for the 2007 version. This is the message they presented...

Usually, you need to specify the street name only and do not give too much details...

I was just trying to find my own address as a test. My house number is 1922 Dalhousie cres.
When I had the 2007, it would find it immediately, just by that simple address. But for some reason the 2009 dont work.

I copied and pasted that into my program and, assuming you live in Oshawa, it found it immediately.

Make sure you specify "Canada". The program will remember the country of your last search. If the program thinks you are searching for an USA address, you may get the above message.

The computer I installed it on already had S&T 2005. However, I installed 2009 as new and left the other version there. No special setup required.

I suspect the message will not show up when correct country is selected.
i have selected canada, since this is not the first time i've used streets and trips. This is however the first time i've seen this message though
I found another thread similar to this, and i tried to follow what was going on. I deleted all the .NET frameworks and just reinstalled 2.0, but it still doesnt work. I will try to make the language go back to English in a few days, because I dont have the XP disc on me right now.

It turns out it WAS the language settings, because I had it set to chinese, as I go between english and chinese frequently.
Now I am able to search for any address.
This never happened for S&T 2007 though, Microsoft's gotta work on that for future products.
