"Locate Me" not working in Streets and Trips 2008

Hey all, new to the forums here and I have a quick question.

I just recently installed MS Streets and Trips 2008 on my laptop and everything seems to work fine except one thing. When I try to use the "Locate Me" option on it, i get an error message that says "Unable to locate your current location. There were not enough access points or no WiFi hardware was available."

I have tried it from multiple locations (My house, friends house, parents house and in my car) and I get the same error message every time i try it.

I'm running Windows XP Media Edition.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome.

Your question was covered in the thread titled: Streets & Trips: Cannot locate - not enough access points, or no WiFi available

I agree with Marvin. "Locate Me" is not a very useful function; most knowledgeable users turn it off. To locate your current position, you should instead buy a USB GPS receiver (as little as $20 used, $35-40 new) and use the GPS functions in Streets & Trips.
