Is there anyway to use OpenStreetMap or Google Maps for laptop GPS navigation?

Is there anyway one can use Openstreetmap or Google Maps for laptop gps navigation with help of usb gps receiver.

There should be instructions on the Openstreetmap site how to convert the maps into maps that will work on Garmin devices. If not, look for sites that explain how to use cGPSmapper or GPSMapEdit and see if they can be used to do it.
