Hussain, welcome to the forum. Here's a link to a two page long discussion on the topic of Google Maps and GPS: Google maps as a GPS software navigator on laptop?

There should be instructions on the Openstreetmap site how to convert the maps into maps that will work on Garmin devices. If not, look for sites that explain how to use cGPSmapper or GPSMapEdit and see if they can be used to do it.

Have anyone tried Roadnav, the open source GPS program? It works pretty good with my laptop and GPS that came with Microsoft Streets and Trips.
