I need a replacement cable for the Microsoft GPS antenna
mgwerks
I have Streets & Trips running on a Vista Toshiba, and I am in a weird predicament. I need a replacement cable for the Microsoft antenna. The cable was severed, so now I have the PC and antenna but no connectivity. Anyone know where I might find one?

Any USB extension cable will work. It has a standard USB connection on one end and a USB socket on the other.

My receiver isn't USB - I have the 360, not the 500. I was kind of hoping to do this on the cheap, as money's tight right now. Otherwise, I'd upgrade to the 500. Maybe someone has upgraded or gone bluetooth and will have one laying around.

The wires are probably colour coded. Strip each end where it was severed and join each appropriate wire together by soldering or connectors. There are no dangerous voltages and the signals are pretty small so it should work.

That is about as cheap as you can go, shouldn't be to hard...

...and there is nothing to lose, since the cable is bad anyway...

True enough - I have a little 35 watt pencil iron that should do nicely. Will report back.

Someone posted a pinout years ago. It might be helpful.
