I am making an APRS unit for my radio, and I need to know how much voltage the Pharos GPS-500 SiRF III chip (that comes with Streets & Trips 2009) needs to run. I have to jump a few pads on the APRS unit, and I need to know the voltage so I can jump the correct pads under the unit. Thanks!
Since it runs on USB and that only supplies 5 volts, it would not be more than that. You could connect the USB end and double check at the GPS to see what voltage is applied to the contacts you are going to use.
