Exporting Microsoft Streets and Trips routes to Garmin GPS

Is it possible to export files or routes from Streets and Trips 2008 or 2009 on Garmin GPS?

thank you.

Hi Angel,

No, it is not possible. Streets&Trips only knows how to save two kinds of files. Garmin GPS cannot use either of those two files.

You will need to find a utility or a web site that can convert from the Streets&Trips .EST file to a .GPX file. Garmin's Mapsource program can be used to read the .GPX file and transfer the information to a Garmin GPS.

Angel, go to Tips & Tricks for Streets & Trips, and scroll down to tip #12. There you will find links to software and websites that may help.

Of all the software i know that can do this (gpsbabel and similar), compatibility is stopped at S&T 2007 .est file format. At this time, i have never seen any software that says it can support 2008 or 2009 .est file format...

So if you really want to convert the file, you should use the 2007 version of S&T. and check what you can recover from it by using these tools.

Or tell us if you are finding a tool that can extract information from 2008 & 2009 version .est file format...

But i am not sure if you can extract the route. You may extract waypoints probably...
