Customized pushpins move when zooming in and out (Streets & Trips 2009)

Hello all.

I searched but couldn't find a specific answer to this question.

Background:

I'm running MS Streets & Trips 2009. I used S & T 2004 prior to this, but didn't really explore it too much. I'm a real estate appraiser and I create maps to illustrate the proximity of the home I'm appraising in relation to the properties I'm comparing it with.

Issue:

I scanned in little arrow decals that read "subject", "comp 1...10", "garbage dump", etc. Finally, I got the scale, file size, file type, etc. right. One problem.

When I place an 'arrow' pushpin at a particular spot (GPS coordinate) it moves all over the place when I change the scale of the map, zooming in and out. It's driving me crazy that I have to use the default pushpins that are not visually appealing and cause way too much clutter when I also have to tag it with text in the pushpin box.

I've tried everything I can think of. Please help!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can import your own icons and use them as pushpins, or use other available from the web. Example:

For the other problem, i don't understand exactly what you mean by pushpin moving all over the map. Usually, when you zoom out, the pushpins do not change size and will appear bigger relativily as compared with the map size (because you will see more of them). So this gives an illusion if you have a lot of pushpins, that it could fill the whole map when zoomin out... And it is not just an illusion if you have hundreds of them, it may fill the complete map making it difficult to be seen if the pushpin text is displayed
