Australia and Asia map crashes Garmin Mobile PC

I am testing "Garmin Moble PC" with the asia and australia map (I have downloaded from internet) in my in PC , the application is carshing. it says....Assert failed at uni_cnvt.c : 326 the size of the map is around 400 mb. I got a map of India (40 mb). When I use it I cant browse it. The application says "no map". any idea? BT

If you have a downloaded version of Mobile PC, it doesn't come with a base map. As Garmin is in Olathe Kansas, that is where it will open and you have no map for that area. Start by downloading a basemap http://www8.garmin.com/support/downl...ils.jsp?id=461 and installing it.

As to why the Australia one failed, I have no idea.
