How to change departure times of a sevaral days long trip in Streets & Trips

I would like to know how to change the time of departures when I have a route planned for several days.

Adjusting the start time is under Route-Route-Route Options on the Profile tab.

However, I am requesting something a little different. If I leave on a Monday at 9 a.m., I may want to leave the following day at 7 a.m. If I change the date, then the mileage, etc., seems to be somewhat different than the beginning. The beginning date converts to 9 a.m. and messes us my mileage.

I am not sure I can explain it, but do you understand?

MVonehr, in Route Planner you may right-click each individual stop, and then set the duration of the stop. Would that accomplish your goal?

I too am getting aggravated here. I just upgraded to 2009, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the start time of day 2. We Are leaving at 9am on day 1, but on day 2 we want to to leave at 7am. It seems that I can only change the start dive time globally for the whole trip, not day by day.

Is there a way to do this? Why cant I just right click on the start time of day 2 and change the time to 7??

What happens when you try? Maybe you have to modify the stopover time instead based on your listed arrival time at the stop.

Like Marvin explained, you can in route planner (left pane) where you enter your start, stops and end destinations, you can select a stop right click with the mouse and choose "schedule stop". There you can configure for each stop what you want.

You will notice that for start (green one) and end (red one) destination, you have some limitations of what you can change. But for stops (yellow ones), you can change everything you want.

Tips: you may add a fake stop to configure some special needs if needed.

I have S&T 2010 and I think it has an easy solution (may be available in older versions). I have a route we like to take to Disney World. We leave our house at different times of the day, depending on several factors. I do a "Save As" and save the previous trip to a new name. In the "Route Planner" pane I see the beginning "stop" in green, right-click, select "Schedule stop...", then change the "Depart at" time to whatever time we hit the road. All other times for that day adjust to that start time. So you don't actually add a stop, S&T should display a window that says "Schedule Stop: <name of saved route file>" and you change the departure time of your starting point.

At the end of that day you may get an extra line warning you that your expected arrival time doesn't match. That means that you set an arrival time in the last stop of the day. Right-click on it to change it or uncheck the check box. This should work in 2011 version also.

I know my post is several years after this thread, but when I searched for "S&T change start time" today this was the first link. Just thought I'd try and help.
