Any laptop GPS programs come on Flash drives or SD memory cards?
I have an Acer Aspire One NoteBook. It does not have a DVD or CD drive. I can use a flash drive or SD memory card. My question is, are there any GPS programs that come on either of these two medias?

Thanks for any help.

Hi backatya07, and welcome to the forums. No, to the best of my knowledge there are no PC GPS navigation software programs that are sold on media other than CD or DVD. That, however, should not prevent anyone from installing any program on a new laptop w/no DVD drive. You could connect via network to another computer that does have a DVD drive. Or you could use an external DVD drive.

There are several people here at the forum who also have Acer Aspire One, and they may tell you how they did it.

Also, you may scroll down closer to the bottom of this page, to see links to 5 similar threads. They are all about Acer Aspire One.
Networked my Aspire One and loaded numerous programs on it. Actually very easy to do. Once it is networked, then map updates are simple also.
Have mapsource 2009 on my acer one, make a disk in ISO format, transfer (copy ) the disk to a usb HD, then you can install it from the drive, just like it is on a disk.
You guys are great. Thanks for all the info.

Hi Marvin! Thank you for the info and regards.
New to this forum, but from what i have read so far, just wanted to add that you can also use a USB "thumb drive", if it is of sufficient size, to transfer the software from a CD, then run the install off the thumb drive, using one of the USB ports on the Acer Aspire One. About
