Take a look at the Malsingmaps web site. They have very much information about maps and GPS in Malaysia and Singapore. If you are interested in using maps that are compatible with Garmin GPS devices and can find maps you will use at Malsingmaps or other places, you can read about how to use them in the Garmin Mobile PC section of this forum.

this is my 1st post, i got problem when start nroute and mapsource ...
i have USB GPS Dongle .... it use Prolific USB-to-Serial port ...
i've read your instruction
i install mapsource 6137 .... from your links and
nroute 276 that i forgot where i download also malaysian maps (also forgot where i download, the file name is Mal0709.m7b and i put inside C:\Garmin folder.
the error msg is MapSource could not find any installed MapSource map products ....
do i need to unlock the MapSource software first ??? hope can get your advise ...

You need to be sure the maps you download are the Garmin-compatible maps. Then you need to be sure they include instructions how to install them into Mapsource.
It is not enough just to place the map file in the Garmin folder. There must also be entries in the Windows Registry to tell Mapsource where the map files are located.
There should be an installer that comes with the maps that will place the maps in the correct folder and the necessary entries in the Registry. Or there must be instructions included that tell you how to do it manually.
