I cannot get S&t to start (the program) in one of my Vista user profiles. The user profile it was installed from works fine, but within my mother's profile it will not start. Again, installed it in my profile, works fine. reinstalled in my mother's profile, still won't start.
It says: Quote "A removable device or network share cannot be found, The DVD is not in the drive or the installation is corrupt. Make sure the drive you installed from is attached, the DVD in in the drive, your network is connected, or run setup again from its original installed location."
For one, was not installed on a removable device or network share
2: shouldn't need the DVD in the drive
3: Drive is attached? is it kidding?!

When you install S&T does it give you the option to install for All Users versus install for one user (it has been so long since I installed mine that I can't remember)? If so, you want to install for All Users. That will solve the problem.
Installing for only one user and then installing the same program again for another user creates all sorts of problems (as you are discovering). I'm not Vista-literate enough to help sort that one out.
