Does Streets & Trips support GPX?
TravelExpert
Hi Folks, I am a vivid Delorme user but I am planning to evaluate Streets & Trips. Do you know if Streets & Trips supports GPX? not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but since you were talking about files I asked this one here. BTW, can we also create a GPX library in this site? Can someone start that for me and add files in there?

No, it does not. To get to/from S&T and GPX, you'd have to use a third party tool like GPS Utility.

You can start it yourself, sort of.

You can start a new thread and attach a GPX file of the sort you think people would be interested in sharing. If there are multiple versions or standards for GPX, pick one that's as universal as possible.

In the body of the message explain why you're starting the thread and what sorts of information you think people would like to share in the GPX files. If there is a particular formatting of the data in the GPX file that would be helpful in sharing the desired data, also specify it in detail or declare your attached GPX file as the example that would be most useful.

Encourage others to share similar information.

Someone started just such a thread in the Streets&Trips section of the forum for people to share trips that they've taken. They attach the Streets&Trips files that contain the trip data, describe the trip it contains (When, From where To where) and specify what version of S&T the file was saved from so people will know whether they can view it or not.

You can do the same.

Thanks Steve and ken, i appreciate your quick response. i wish Streets & Trips did support GPX. I like the ease of use in streets and maps much compared to my Delorme Street Atlas. But the omittance of this feature does not allow me to buy the full version of the cool Microsoft product.
