Does Streets & Trips require DVD-ROM drive?

I have a new Lenovo netbook and would like to use Streets and Trips. Microsoft lists a Dvd Rom drive as a system requirement. Does this mean I would have to get a external drive just to run the program? I want to use it with GPS capability.

It just needs the DVD to install it. If you have a USB flash drive or a memory card reader and a computer with a DVD drive, you can just copy the whole DVD to the flash drive or memory card, plug it into your laptop and install from there. (Flash drive or memory card must be 4GB or larger for the DVD to fit on it.)

Or if you can get a wireless connection to a PC with a DVD drive you can share the drive on the network and install from the DVD across the network to the laptop.

Hi heySteveh,

:welcome: to the forum.

If you don't have a DVD drive in your machine then you can also download the installer from here and install the application in your machine, provided you have access to internet on that machine. And you can activate the application using the product key that came along the purchased product.

Note - We only have trial downloads for Streets & Trips 2009 version.
