Microsoft AutoRoute 2007 - how many installations allowed?

I'm thinking of buying Microsoft AutoRoute 2007 to install on my laptop for an upcoming trip to France. I cannot find info on if I can install it on more then one computer. Anyone know?

AutoRoute 2007 can be installed on as many computers as you like. Good luck!

Technically that's correct, because the software relies on the honor system. However, if you read the licensing agreement you will notice that installations on two computers is the maximum. But read the EULA for details on that.

I personally don't think it has anything to with the area of the world. Some forums just simply don't allow talking about illegal software distribution, but there are others who do.

Thanks. Now what kind of GPS receiver do I need. I have a DeLorme Earthmate USB that I use for Street Atlas USA but Autoroute 2007 won't acknowledge it

You need to install probably the driver for serial emulation. Something like this (look for your correct gps model):
