Suggestion: Opening up a MapPoint forum section

Could you please open up a separate Software Discussions/MapPoint section?

navnerd, thanks for the suggestion. That's definitely something to consider. If there are more people discussing MapPoint here, I could at least change/modify the existing forum name of this section. The original name of this section actually was "Microsoft Streets and Trips, Microsoft AutoRoute". Later I removed the AutoRoute part of the name, because the product was discontinued.

There's probably two main, active discussion places for MapPoint

• Microsoft's public MapPoint newsgroup - http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.mappoint/topics?lnk=srg&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
• My own web site MapForums.com, which grew out of MP2K Magazine

There are several inactive places such as a yahoo! group and one that was started on geocomm.com that never took off.

Also, I occasionally see MapPoint mentioned on mp3car, gpspassion, and of course this board.

Anyway, just thought I'd give you a state of what is regarding MapPoint discussion out there.

The newsgroup used to be very good but activity has slackened since Gilles Kohl stopped answering questions.

By the way, I am posting from my blackberry phone browser, it is pretty easy to navigate vBulletin/vBSEO skin on this tiny screen, I am surprised.
