Pushpins from AutoRoute 2007 in MapPoint 2009

I have an axe.-file from Microsoft AutoRoute 2007 that includes different colored pins (eg. one color for camp grounds, one for WiFi hot spots, one for friend's places). If I open this file in MapPoint, the pins (actually several hundreds) all get the same color. This is unacceptable. Is there a way to tell MapPoint to recognize my preset pin colors from AutoRoute?

This is a problem with all 2009 versions of Mappoint and Streets&Trips (eg. both North America and Europe). I don't think anyone has come up with a satisfactory answer to the problem. 2009 versions have all sorts of problems bringing pushpin files forward from earlier versions. I've you have been reading the discussions in this forum you will have already seen all the difficulties. Mappoint Europe is no different.

Ok, thanks, I found the zipped file "MPPushpin.exe". What do I have to do with it now?

Un-zip it, and then just click on it to run it. If I recall correctly the small application will then prompt you to enter that path to your MapPoint directory.

Thanks. What I just found is that it patches only MapPoint North America but not MapPoint Europe. So what now? :-)

Try to post your finding to the above linked thread. Hopefully Yves, the developer of the tool, can address the issue for you.
