How to get miles between stops in a multi-stop trip in Streets & Trips?

Am new to the forum. Have Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008, and want to know if there is a way to get miles between stops for a multi-day, multi-stop trip, so we know how many miles we plan to travel each day. We RV and take long trips.

I've heard this question asked once or twice before. I don't recall if I ever read an answer, though. Streets & Trips does give us miles for the whole trip, and also miles for each maneuver I think, so I suspect one would need to use a calculator to get miles for a particular leg of a trip.

How do people do it in real life? Anyone wishes to share a personal tip or a trick?

How about a second instance of S&T with just the day's trip on it. You don't want the whole trip in view on any one day anyway.

For short trips, that is OK, but for an extended trip, say 60+ days, it means one has 60 different route/days to deal with.

I will admit I have not done a trip that long since the advent of GPS. However, even though I laid the entire trip out (and printed it) before leaving, I would set up daily sections at the end of each day. That allowed for variations in the end of day stop and anything I might want to add. The chances of me not being where I had planned at the end of each day (either farther or closer) were not rare. What kind of holiday is it if you must stick to a rigid schedule every day.

For some who live aboard their RV, the annual trips south in the winter and north in the summer can present a whole different aspect to "long trips".

You guessed it; we're RVers, and take extended trips frequently. Having this feature would allow me NOT to use Excel to do the same thing, manually shifting data from S&T to Excel.

Yeah, I have the same dilemma 'cuz I do tour management in the "music world", and what I wish I could get in S&T is the same thing that MapQuest does - where you put in multiple stops & it summarizes the time/distance between each stop with a grand total at the end. What I end up doing is 2 routes - MQ & S&T and use the MQ one as my day to day reference. Also - having multiple stops in S&T gives you ETA for the whole trip - not your next destination. GRRRRRR!!!...

I'm open to ANY suggestions!!!

Cooknkpl, are you using the schedule stop option in S&T? By doing so you should get a time and mileage for your planned stop in the directions window. Granted, it is not as nice as having a summary for each stop automatically provided, but if the route options are set anywhere close to reality the time for that particular stop should be close. As has been previously discussed, mileage will have to be manually calculated for distance between stops. If you are using push pins, then you could add a couple of notes to the balloon to give you the summary information. Of course, all of this assumes that you are working from your computer and not just from paper.
