I am looking to go to Ireland, and have Streets and Trips 2007. I know I will need MapPoint Europe 2009 to track and plan trips in Europe. The question is, will my GPS receiver from my S+T 2007 work with the Microsoft MapPoint software in Europe?

Have you considered other navigation programs? MapPoint is quite expensive if you are not using all the built-in functionality and Microsoft Office connectivity. Garmin Mobile PC Europe would probably do the job but the interface is quite different. It would work with your GPS too. Or you could buy the Mobile PC North American version bundled with a USB GPS20x and add Garmin European maps.

No,I found the MapPoint software for about the price of Streets and Trips.
I am very familiar with S+T, and thought it may function very similiar.

I will look into the others you mentioned and do some comparisons.
