I read with interest your reviews for S&T and MapPoint 2009 (includin Europe) and found them very informative, except that you neglected to provide info on where I coud get the software version of S&T2009 for $35 within walking distance of my home in Ottawa

Check Staples. They sometimes have deals on Streets & Trips.

When I bought my Streets&Trips 2008 with bundled GPS receiver I got the best deal at Future Shop at the time. Check any of your big box electronics stores to see which has the best deals on any given day. I don't know if any of them are in walking distance, though.
