When I have all of my pushpins properly located in the route planner, everything looks fine. I rearranged them the way I wanted. I did NOT choose to optimize them.
I saved the file, came back later to work on it some more and a dark blue line was created to show me the route. Since I want to print maps from various segments of the trip, the dark blue line is offensive. I tried to remove it (clear route) but that also eliminated my pushpins.
Is there a way to simply get rid of the dark blue route line without affecting anything else?

I think all you need to do is add another location to the route planner. The previously calculated route will disappear. Now delete the location you just entered from the route list and you should have your original map back.
