Difficulty opening Streets & Trips files?

Thought I'd share a bug I experience when I use Microsoft Streets and Trips.

As I may have mentioned before, I use a Mac (a newer one with an Intel CPU); for those PC programs I still need I use Parallels Desktop so that I can run Windows XP Pro on my Mac (it WOULD be nice if Microsoft could develop a S&T version that will run natively on Macs).

So, the S&T app resides on the "virtual hard drive" while all my maps reside in a folder on the Mac side (so I can include them in my backups).

The problem I have is when I browse to the map folder from inside the virtual PC and double-click to open a map and launch S&T at the same time, S&T just hangs on the splash screen - I end up having to kill the task.

I have to take the extra step of opening S&T first then accessing the map from the 'Open' dialog or the most recently used files list.

Anyone else seen this?

It sounds like when you double-click the map file on the MAC side, Parallels is not passing the file link to S&T properly. I don't have a MAC so I can't make any useful suggestion.

True. May post this issue in the Parallels support forum, but it's only 1 more click, so it's only a minor annoyance.
