I just installed my Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009, when I try to register the GPS locator, it asked for PID, I have looked and tried all numbers that look like the example, but i am not getting it. Can anyone share where I might be getting bound up?
What do you mean by 'register'? You just plug it in to a USB port and let Windows search for a driver. It might want to go online as the latest driver is at Windows Update. should be no need to know the vid or pid.

Sounds more like something to do with a warranty for the device. I can't say that I have seen that but if you need it, this is the one for the 500. You can find it in Device Manager.
