S.Florida private yacht captain interested in purchasing a 17" laptop w/
Nobeltec Visual Navigation Suite, MAX Pro megawide or wide charts of
US E. Coast & Bahamas, and GPS input devise.
Understand that Nobeltec nav program prefers Windows Vista 32, and
the laptop needs to be powerful w/ >128MB dedicated video card.
I have explored a new Dell Studio 17 - special order...but when you
add the cost of the Nav program, charts & GPS hockey puck...well you
are at a price beyond which I want to fund this experiment/nav back-up.
Any suggestions on availabilty of used nav laptop or other alternatives?

Hi Capt.Smith. I'm going over unanswered posts in this forum section this morning, and I've found yours posted a while ago. Have you bought since then the hardware/software you were looking for? Or you've found the whole setup to be just too expensive for the purpose?
