Realizing that the import feature is very limited....

Has anyone figured out a way to import multiple pushpin sets.

What I mean is I want to import a bunch of pushpins but I have them broken up into groups. I want each group to be it's own pushpin set. Right now if you import they all go into one group. Is there a way to do something in the file to tell Microsoft Streets and Trips to put them into different groups?

If there's not a way to do that is there a way to break apart a pushpin set into multiple sets based on some criteria?

I'm new to Streets and Trips and this forum but what I've done is create an excel file with a separate sheet for each of my 'groups' - Restaurants, Rest Areas, Contacts, and Hotels. I then imported each sheet and individual 'sets' were created for each sheet. The set names were based on the excel file name which in my case was S&T, S&T 2, S&T 3, S&T 4. You can then select one of the sets and then select properties and change the name of the set. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for - it works fine for my application.

I didn't realize that S&T would prompt you for which sheet you wanted to import from an excel spreadsheet so that does make it easier but it still isn't quite what I need. Thanks for the tip though. That is some help.

Actually when I try to import from a sheet it says no matching records found. I have the name in one column and the lat/lon in the next two columns. I tell it to skip the other columns. But when I import it I get no matching records. Any clue?

Well your post didn't mention anything regarding No Matching records found but here's how I have my Rest Areas defined which uses Lat/Long and works
for me...
