Baud Rate & Microsoft Streets and Trips

Hello,

I'm new in this forum - come from Germany. I will take a trip to Canada and use Microsoft Streets and Trips for navigation. I have buy a GPS-receiver (NMEA 0183 V.2.2) 9600baud. With a test program it works fine. But if I use S&T comes the message "Make sure the GPS receiver input/output format is set to deliver NMEA 2.0-compatible messages at correct baud (4800bps)."

Is there a way to change the Baudrate or what can I do??

WindowsXP SP2

Regards,
Hartmut

You need another program to convert the bit rate to 4800. Two possibilities are xport http://curioustech.home.insightbb.com/xport.html
and GPS Gate Express http://franson.com/gpsgate/. Xport is by donation and GPS Gate Express is inexpensive.
