Which PC mapping software can utilize Excel database?

Hi....I am new to this forum and have a few questions. I have started a clothing recycling program. I call about 3000 homes per route and get about 150 to 200 homes say yes they will donate. I use my Excel database for the ones that say yes and then import them as stops in Microsoft Streets and Trips. I have tested this and it works well. I was wondering if there would be a better program to use for this or am I on the right track. Also I now get my list from infoCanada, it comes as raw data in Excel. It is listed in alphabetical order by street name. I have to set up routes for the larger cities so the drivers to go from one side to the other in one day I want them to stay in blocks sort of like garbage pickups. Is there a program where I can take the street names and it will put them into blocks so I can call the blocks then go pick up the clothes the next day? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
