I have installed Microsoft "Streets and Maps." It does not launch because the registry is preventing its use. The advice I got from the store bought software is to run reinstall. That did not solve the issue with the computers registry. My Question: Is this something I could solve, or do I need to pay someone to finish installing "Streets and Trips."
I recommend that novice computer users call up technical support for questions such as these. Setup issues are among the hardest to troubleshoot, and also the least likely for other users to have experience with. A bug in the program can be reproduced at will. But we only run setup once (or a few times), and usually there's no problem.
P.S. It would also be a good habit to get into to copy error messages exactly, word for word. Otherwise, it's hard to tell what's failing.
