I am a newcomer here, but it seems my needs are different from most. I am a landscape photographer. When I take a photograph, I want to record just the lat and long of that point, so that I or someone else can find it again. I do not need a map of the area.

When photographing, I take along a laptop to do some computations in support of the photography. I record several parameters associated with the photography, and would like to also record lat and long. I need to be able to insert the lat and long into variables in a Visual Basic program.

Any ideas how to do this ?
