Transferring tracks from Mapsource to Mobile PC

I have a serious problem with reinstalling Garmin Mobile PC onto the tablet PC. Will post separately on it.
I'll report the problem to product support.

Remove GMPC, delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\GARMIN\Devices\Garmin Mobile PC and then reinstall GMPC. If it still doesn't work, also delete the folder at C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Application Data\GARMIN\GarminMobilePC and reinstall again. You will lose all your previous information though.

Thanks Terry, I've been trying everything (hours so far on this) so I'll try that also.

I did remove all Garmin software and the folders I could find and Mobile PC re-installed from the DVD and ran OK. When I then went to run the update to v70 and opened Mobile PC again, the same error was back. How weird is that? I'm going to try to just install the original Mobile PC, and then see if I can remove all tracks (assuming it is finding them somewhere) and then continue?

I'm running Windows 7 on a new Fujitsu tablet laptop.

Then those locations are different. C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\etc. but you probably already know that.

What version is your DVD? We could probably make 5.00.60 available if you can't make 5.00.70 work.

I'm working through your suggestions now. Will keep you posted.
I'm going to post a separate thread on recovery/backup to see what's out there to avoid me going through this in the future also.
