Is it possible to skip a stop on your route in Microsoft Streets & Trips? I will sometimes have 50 stops on my route in a day and I usually have the program optimize my stops for me. Sometimes there might be a reason to skip the next stop or maybe skip the next 3 or 4 stops in order to get to a stop that is a higher priority.

Does anybody know the best way to do this?

One way to achieve this is to stop navigation at a safe place, then go to route planner. Just click the stop you want to go first and drag it (you can click on the small arrows at right of the stop list to achieve this) in the list with a lower stop number, then recalculate the route. If you don't want to change stop order, you can just delete the stops you don't want to go anymore before recalculating the new routes...

Alternatively you could use S&T Keys. S&T Keys has a built-in hotkey for this particular reason. Pressing the Del-key on your keyboard once deletes one Stop, and pressing it multiple times deletes multiple Stops.

Doesn't the delete key only delete the stops behind you, or stops that you have already made. Will the delete key delete the stops that you haven't passed?

The Del-key, if I recall correctly, deletes Stops from the Route Planner from the top down. So if you press the Del-key once, it will delete the topmost Stop in the Route Planner. Pressing it twice would delete two stops from the top of Route Planner, etc.

The feature is not aware if you have already passed the Stop(s). It simply deletes them one-by-one from the Route Planner as you hit the Del-key.

On the GPS pane, there is a drop down list of all the stops in your route. Simply select the next stop you want to go to, and press the "go" button. It will give you the shortest route there, and continue your route from that point.
