Garmin Forerunner 305 as GPS antenna for laptop?

Happyman, welcome to the forum. But unfortunately I doubt very much your Garmin GPS sport's watch can output GPS signal via it's USB cable (or any other way) . However, USB GPS receivers are very inexpensive these days. An excellent unit can be had for around $50.
