How to select an area on the map in Microsoft Streets and Trips 2010
Newbee
Maybe I am getting confused with Garmin's Mapsource but weren't you able to select the box icon and you could create a box in Streets and Trips where you could zoom in to that selection? Now you have to move the map to where you want to go? BTW, I really don't like the new GUI. Maybe it's just me.

Ooops. This thread belongs in the Wish List http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/wish-list. Marvin, can you move it? Thanks

Create the box with the right mouse button depressed. Then click in the box.

Wow. Thanks for that tip. Who would've known you could do that.

The feature is actually not new to Microsoft Streets and Trips 2010. It was introduced a year ago in the 2009 version:

Nitpick: discoverability of feature.

Thanks Marvin, I didn't get 2009 but now I do feel a bit better about 2010. Still not happy about the slider speed thingy though.
