Found this forum googling.

I've upgraded my 'travel' laptop from XP to Windows 7 x 64. What USB corded GPS units have you successfully used in Windows 7 (GPS + driver set)? I don't need a bazillion satellites tracked at one time. It's typically used for 'you are here' on 1000 mile trips.

I use Mappoint 2006 and 2009 for compatibility. My good old trusty Holux 210 just died.

Suggestions?

Welcome to Laptop GPS World.

I'd look into the USB BU-353 GPS receiver in your situation. I cannot say with a 100% certainty that it will work under the new Windows 7, but it does have a Vista 64-bit driver available.

I'm running 64 bit Windows 7 on my HP nx9420 laptop. My BU-353 works fine. I loaded the 64 bit Vista driver from USGlobalSat.
