Odyssey Navigator provides an straight forward way to route to the nearest Point of interest. Click the POI button on the right and choose a category. A list of the POIs in that category will be displayed from nearest onward. If you have a specific desire, use the filter to choose some letters of the POI name. Choose the Go To button to provide a route from your present location .
I did try A&W but the ampersand was greyed out in the 123 menu.

From the resulting Route display, information about the route can be obtained by clicking on the top address bar. The display can be cycled between 3D,2D and 2D North up from the Compass (note the small arrow pointing to the destination).
If you wish to modify the route, the itinerary is available from the distance/ time display in the lower left of the screen. The Add button is used to select more vias. If you add more vias, the change button takes you to a screen where you can manually reorder the stops or use the Auto Plan button to optimize the stop order.
