I just got the Magellan Roadmate 1470. I was hoping to be able to load routes to the GPS instead of having to hand-type each destination on the GPS it's self.

Does anyone know how I can load routes onto my GPS. If I can use Microsoft Streets and Trips that would be amazing!!

Welcome to the forum!

I don't think Magellan supports GPX they use their own .MGLN files. However, some of the new Roadmates come with software to help with the conversion. If you have Magellan POI File Editor you can hopefully convert files to Magellan format (.mgln file) then use the Magellan RoadMate Tools to transfer the the .mgln file from your computer to your GPS via USB cable.

Not quite as easy as with the Garmin units but give it a try.

My GPS did not come with any software to load POI or edit POIs. Do you know where I can download a copy of that software?
