I'm new to GPS and all that goes with it. The reason why I haven't used it till now, is, because here in Colombia where I live there are no GPS maps availabel. Because I'm new, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, so I escuse my selve for the inconvinience.
My problem is, that I want to create a map of a plantation. I want to use a GPS device, to record the outlines of the plantation, and then, I want to use the same device to outline several agricultural units inside the plantation.
I don't know a thing about gps map creation, that's why I want to know, if there is some kind of place where I can find out how this is done. I have read a litlebit about ArcView, and I think it would be the right tool, but how do I get the geografic data from tha plantation inside arcview?
