Hi guys! I've got a problem I can't seem to figure out.
My dad's got a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 and Microsoft Streets and Trips 2009 with the GPS receiver. I'm trying to get his Magellan Roadmate 1440 to communicate with it, and I can't seem to get it to work.
I select the configure GPS tab, and plug it in, and scan for ports, and it will not find any port except the com3 port. The GPS cable is USB to mini USB. Is this device not compatible with it? I've researched an unless I'm misunderstanding I think it meets the requirements. How come is the com3 port the only port it comes up with? I hit scan an it says com3 port available but device not found? Com3 and USB are not the same port correct? Can some one point me in the right direction?
Thanks!!
