Sledgehampster,
Navmii should work with your GPS. It appears to accept bit rates up to 57600 and any COM port up to 255. You can download a Georgia trial from the link in the first post. Alabama does not appear to be available yet.

Still waiting for additional regions to be compiled, just wanted to post just to let you know we've not forgotten.

If you're trying to put old maps into a newer version or use new maps in an older version of Navmii you will find the application crashes.
Each time we change something about the map data format the application is changed to take account of this and recently a change was made that mean't older map data became incompatible with the new version.
1.2.663 was the switchover.

Map data is from TeleAtlas presently although the engine was written using Navteq data. We support both but we currently have no agreement with Navteq

Also you've probably ascertained ths yourselves but...
The activation keys tie the hardware to a map region, an activation key XXX.key should always be valid on that particular hardware platform (unless the deviceID that Navmii reports changes)
Once you have a working key it will aways be valid on that platform regardless of map data changes.

Regarding POI, these are currently compiled in with the map data. Although I think this will change soon when we introduce POI import facilities.

Hello,

I've got a quick question - namely, are you still accepting testers? If so, please let me know, as I would be very interesed in testing the Florida build.

Thanks Again!

You should probably check for their email address in one of the earlier posts and email them directly. They don't get to this forum very often.

I am now in Phoenix, Az, having traveled from the Seattle area. We will continue our trip through New Mexico, Texas, La., Al. to Minn., then west to Wa. shortly. I thought the ALK Copilot might be helpful.
