Bought wrong version. How to tell S&T2010 from S&T2009?
ArcticCat
I received my Streets & Trips today. Popped it into the drive and it says do I want to install S&T 2009. I stopped right there, I don't want to install it and get burned by the company I bought it from (AMAZON).

My question is, how can I tell, for those of you that have bought 2010, did the package say 2010 on it anywhere? And when you went to install it, did it say 2009 or 2010?

Thanks,

Ken

Ken, there is a slight difference between the look of the 2009 and 2010. There are two spots of yellow color on the 2010 version. Also notice the version number (2010 vs. 2009) in the product name.

Try to contact the seller to see if there is anything they can do for you.

My package does have the yellow on the packaging, but only 1 area, not in the upper right hand corner. (an expired offer for MS Money... Expires 11/30/09)

I ordered 2010, all the papperwork I have is for 2010.

I bought my S&T 2010 from Amazon in September and it was clear that it was 2010, although I threw the packaging away and cannot remember how it was clear.

I am sure Amazon will rectify your problem.

They might have shipped the wrong version. Does your package read "Includes 2010 software with updated maps"?

Nope, in that spot is an offer for free MS Money...

If all your paperwork shows you ordered Microsoft Streets and Trips 2010, then they made an error. Contact them to inquire how this could be corrected.
