Hi. I received a USGlobalSat BC-337 Compact Flash GPS receiver for Christmas. It works on my laptop and Ipaq H2200 running Pocket PC 2003.

My next step is to get a mapping software and I need your help on my buying decisions. Streets & Trips seems to be a good choice. Of course I'd like to get the 2010 version so my question is, does it have support for the pocket PC and will I have an option to install a pocket version while installing the PC version? If not, is there a work-around so I can still use my hand-held with Streets and Trips 2010.

It would be great to be able to use the hand-held when I'm on foot and the laptop while driving.

If you have a Win XP, Vista, or 7 O/S on your 'pocket PC', it should work.

I think I'm stuck with Pocket PC 2003 on my PDA. My laptop runs on XP so no problems there. I've read there was support for PDAs running on PPC 2003 on older versions of Streets & Trips, I think up to 2007, but I haven't seen any mention of it on later versions of S&T up to 2010.

Went on the MS website to get more info but no luck. Getting help from them online would cost me $30++.

Get the free download of S&T and try it; nothing to lose...

Hi mgjr73, and welcome to Laptop GPS World. Pocket Streets was discontinued in version 2005, if I recall correctly. Pocket Streets used to be a "free" map viewer with limited GPS functionality which worked on PPC PDAs. It used to be included with Streets & Trips, but not any longer.

@ Marvin. Thanks for the info. I'm going to download the S&T 2010 trial and see how it works with my receiver and laptop.

As for the PDA, I'm gonna have to find something else then... preferrably something free. If you can point me to a reliable website for my PDA I would really appreciate it.
