I've thought of a couple of additions I'd LOVE to see added to this great program. Feel free to submit your own requests.
  1. Ability to see the ETA & distance to next stop in addition to the final destination either on the main driving screen or on in the route editor (without having to scroll through and try to find it in the turns list)
  2. Ability to schedule stops similar to Streets & Trips: Stop for x hrs, depart at specific time, etc. These would then reflect on the ETA for the next stop & final destination times.
  3. Ability to display selected POI's (built-in or custom imported) on the driving map at a minimum of all 3-D viewing zoom levels. Also, the ability to select the POI icon and add it as a stop while in driving mode.

I would modify your #1 request to allow us to just select whatever info we want displayed, like on some of the Nuvi models, e.g. 765T.

Not everyone wants the same info displayed and some of us want different info displayed under different situations. In my case, I like the ETA and other route-related stuff displayed when I have a route active but I want different stuff displayed when I'm just using it as a moving map.

For #1, say it works like this:
  • ETA button/display: Press it and it shows a list of distance & ETA's to all stops in your trip (if you have any stops). Add an option in the setup to have it display either info for 'next stop' or 'final destination' while driving.
  • Example of the list (instead of displaying driving times as shown, put the actual time - or have both):
    • Rest Area,34.3 miles, 00:35:00
    • Gas Station,151 miles,02:40:00
    • Joe's Save More Store,785 miles,12:55:00
  • Distance button/display: Press it and it brings up the list of turns (the same as it is now).

Re: ETA button.

W-key is a keyboard shortcut that may achieve at least some of what you want. Next time you are in your truck, press W-key while navigating to your destination, and see if the screen that opens up has some of the info you require.

Ok - I'll try to check that out.

Junction View, Lane assist, 3D Building & FM traffic would be nice.

I definitely agree with 3 of those 4. The 3d building would be ok, as long as it can be turned off in the options.

Why they didn't include the lane assist feature from the nuvi's on this is beyond me.

Malaki, this is still really just the initial release (x.00) of Mobile PC. The dot releases up to 00.60 were bug fixes to correct the worst of the easily patched problems. I'm hoping with the amount of time it's taking them to get the second release out the door that it will contain some enhancements, not just more bug fixes.

The W-key brings up the turn list. What I want is a list that just shows travel time & distance for each stop.

Unfortunately, No. They are selling a 2010 version but it's just got new maps. Same software.
