Show information, doesn't ... Streets & Trips 2009
CoolRaul
Okay, I have a big map I use in Streets and Trips 2009 with a boat load of truck stops and other stuff I need as a trucker. When I click on a restaurant or anything, and then click on SHOW INFORMATION, it doesn't do anything.

Any way to fix this?

Some more info might be helpful...

Does the additional info appear when you double tap the icon? Or, is it that the Show Information button is just not working?

Have you always had this problem, or has it just started?

Are you having the same problem on the POI's that are permanently loaded in S&T and the ones that you loaded?

How many extra POI's have you loaded?

Please give a more detailed overview of the problem and its history.

I had this same thing happen in S&T 2010 with my loaded POI's! Never did figure out what the problem was. Also, I couldn't create any new POI's with the Pushpin tool. I jus gave up and copied and pasted my POI's into a new file. No problem since.

Thanks for the replies...
If I double click on a place (other than POI's, the work fine) it does nothing. I'm talking about hotels, restaurants, all that-- I can't get info.

On other maps (new ones for instance) I don't have this problem.

The problem is only with the preloaded 'places' not my custom POI's.

I have thousands of POI's imported.

Thanks for any help.

I am sure there are many knowledgible experts on this forum that could diagnose the software problem and prescribe the fix. However, the easiest thing may be to read on this forum as how to move your pushpin data sets to a new map. The problem may just be a non-recurring hiccup...
Crazy Chris
If you want to move your POI data sets to a new map, this is how you do it in S&T 2010 (not sure if it's the same in 2009):

1. Make sure that any sets you want to move are showing on the map.
2. Export the data to a GPX file (Data -> Export to GPX File)
3. Open a clean map
4. Import the data from the GPX file (Data -> Import GPX File)

If that won't work on S&T 2009, someone else might be able to tell you how to do it (I never used that version).

Thanks alot for this info. I actually just activated my 2010 version and my map works great now. I just need to see about the "distance to end" bug. must go searching now
