PC GPS software with bridge heights and weight limits

I'm looking to replace my existing GPS program with one that also shows the height and weight limits on bridges and tunnels. Can someone suggest a program with this info.

Hi Dreamer, and welcome to Laptop GPS World. Which program do you currently use? Which geographical area do you need it for?

I am currently using DeLorme Street Atlas USA bought in 2006. I have called and talked to the DeLorme techs and they said they didn't have a program with these features.
We travel around the USA and Canada as we are retired and enjoying our great country.

Take a look at ALK's CoPilot software. They have versions for RVers.

Okay, malaki86, I checked out ALK's CoPilot and wasn't very impressed. Most of the posts in this forum are negative. I will continue my search to see if I can find a more favorable program.

Microsoft Streets and Trips is popular among RV/motorhome travelers. It doesn't have the features you are asking for, but there are workarounds for that.

Rand McNally has a PND for truckers. It will do hazmat routes, doubles, etc. I'm not sure about weight limits. Check Rand McNally TND500 - Great Eagle Tech

I have an RV and much of the travel information is in truck form instead of RV and I've never seen anything with weight limits. Obviously, interstates would not be a problem. The number of bridges in this country would probably make it impossible to try to categorize them.

The Discover RV web site has overlays for Streets & Trips, Street Atlas, and others, that can be useful. They'll show you many height limits, Pilot stations, Flying J stations, Wal-Marts, Sams and much more. It's at http://www.discoveryowners.com/cginfolinks.htm
