SCREEN OPTIONS
First and foremost for me, Keys 2010 should function on my UMPC, which runs Win XP (I no longer use a laptop in the car).
Also, it is important to me that it run in portait (768x1024) as well as landscape (1024x600 and 1024x768).
Finally, when I am running it in portrait mode, I like the "270 degree" setting because it puts the power connection at the bottom.

I appreciate the value of screen real estate but I would like the usual zoom and menu buttons and, in addition, an F3 (recalculate route) button when in Full Screen mode.

May be it could run if your UMPC is fast enough. But unfortunatly, i have no way to test S&T Keys at these special resolution with the equipment i have. The popup panel is working with a 800X600 resolution in mind, so probably you should rely on the hotkeys interface instead if it is not good with these UMPC resolutions...

I am planning doing this with the 1st official release version, if the modifications needed are very limited like it was with the version 2006 and before. But i cannot make any promises at this point because i did not test anything yet. Stay tuned to the official S&T Keys 2010 thread when the 1st release will come (see link in my signature).

I don't know exactly what you mean by that. The actual beta version already have the on screen zooms and menu buttons, like previous year. There is also a F3 button when in fullscreen mode directly in S&T GUI?
As a workaround, if you want to refresh the route, you can press the F5 key anytime now with version 2.55.x and later and this will simply restart the route from current GPS location. It will also refresh when calendar mode is active the date/time planning in direction pane. Sure this is much slowlier process than using S&T F3 key. I didn't modify the current behavior of S&T F3 keys so it can be used quickly to reroute in case of panic situation. But the F5 function is doing when not in a hurry the same thing, but with a little extra other things as well...
But when using F5/F3 keys, don't forget to remove your old waypoints before using these because it will reroute to older waypts as well. When using S&T Keys, you can press the "Del" key to do this job (see online manual)...

MisterMoonlight, I just thought about another feature that would be nice on Keys. This is a result of discussion on other threads about pushpin hyperlinks. I notice that there is a space between Direction and Options on the Menu panel. Would it be possible to create a button there that replicated the control-double-click action that is needed to bring up a hyperlinked file from a pushpin?
In other words, the user would place the cursor/mouse over a pushpin that has been set up with a hyperlink, open the menu, and click on this new button and the new file would be opened. Note that even now, moving the cursor from a selected pushpin does not defeat the selection of the pushpin.

Can you explain a little more the purpose of that feature so i can see the benefit?
At first it appears very difficult to do that because there can be many differents url in a single pushpin balloon and i would not be able to know which one would need to be triggered?
If you select it with the mouse, why not double click on it to activate it instead of going through S&T Keys menu or hotkey?

"Tip To follow a hyperlink from the map without opening the balloon, press CTRL while clicking the pushpin symbol. This is a good way to check hyperlinks before saving a map as a Web page."
Of course, this will work for any hyperlink not just to a webpage, as the tip implies.
What I want to do with the minimum of interacting with the keyboard is to be able to open the file to which a pushpin is hyperlinked. I do not want to open the pushpin balloon to then click on whatever hyperlinks are there, I just want to open the file. To do that now, you ctrl-click. That is hard to do one-handed or while driving. A double-click opens the balloon.
