I have installed Garmin Mobile PC with the Garmin 20x GPX receiver. The City Navigator maps are unlocked to this receiver. What happens if my dog chews up my receiver? Is it possible to replace a Garmin 20x receiver with a Garmin 10x receiver or another brand GPS receiver without uninstalling Garmin Mobile PC and installing the software only version?

There is no easy way to replace the 20x receiver. You cannot use another GPS, even from Garmin. You would probably have to contact Garmin if the 20x you have is damaged about how to replace it.
