The newest beta test version of Mapsource was just posted for download.

If you do not want to risk the issues you might encounter in a test version of the software and don't want to take the time to check out features and provide feedback about any glitches you encounter, please consider waiting until the release version is available. This is for testing and customer feedback.

This version will not install over your existing version. It will install as a standalone version, leaving your existing stuff alone and untouched. It has an expiry date on it, so it will need to be uninstalled either when you are done trying it out or when it expires.
