I don't know if this problem already happened in the field, but i got a random crash in very few situations while debugging to release S&T Keys 2010. Finally i discovered that the crash is not related to S&T Keys at all and can happen with Streets & Trips alone.
After a lot of tests, i have discovered (after several test hours) that the crash can happen if the S&T voice prompt while navigating is changing too fast (example an instruction voice prompt just beginning is interrupted by another one). Disabling S&T Speak street name option does not change the problem. The only solution i have found that completely stop the problem from happening is to disable my onboard audio adapter. After that S&T panic with an error message the 1st time it is trying to give a voice prompt, but once i acked that error message, i can continue to navigate after without any voice prompt at all. With the audio board disabled, i was not able to make Streets & Trips crashing with the same tests it was as described above.
Once i got the crash, S&T gui is completly frozen and there is nothing that can be done to recover it (you have to kill the application).
I am giving this information in case some users are expecting some crashes with S&T 2010. But i guess very few users will get this problem because it is very difficult to generate and need a lot of voice prompting changes in a short period of time, this sequence should be repeated often to finally randomly getting a crash. Once it is happening, killing S&T application and restarting it and you are ready to continue navigating correctly.

I don't know if my problem is related to voice prompts or not, but I have a Toshiba NB205 with 2 MB of memory running Streets & Trips 2010 using the Microsoft / Pharos GPS. Sitting at home creating routes etc, everything works fine including S&T Keys 2010.
When I take the netbook in my car, and actually run the created route, Streets & Trips will lock up consistently at the first needed route recalculation. Example being when I go off the designed route the directions will say either "off route" or "recalculating route", and in both cases lock the program.
The only solution is the alt/cntrl/del route. This happens using a Delorme Earthmate GPS receiver also. The routes created have been two point routes. All the Delorme routing programs work fine, Street Atlas 2010 and Topo 8.
Is there any solution for this problem?

The only solution is the alt/cntrl/del route. This happens using a Delorme Earthmate GPS receiver also. The routes created have been two point routes. All the Delorme routing programs work fine, Street Atlas 2010 and Topo 8.
Is there any solution for this problem?

The Microsoft GPS device, and the Delorme Earthmate GPS, both will fail the exact same way on Microsoft Streets & Trips 2010.

I shut down Streets & Trips and started Delorme Topo 8 and it ran just fine.
1- I am just curious, can you post your S&T .est file.
2- Did you try with S&T Keys add-on. Don't use F3 key, but use S&T Keys F5 instead. Let's see if it is crashing the same... (see link in my signature)
