I have both Streets & Trips 2008 and Streets & Trips 2010. S&T 2010 is receiving Construction Updates just fine. S&T 2008 says it can not receive the Construction update, and to try again later. I tried yesterday and today with the same result. Is anyone else having this trouble? Is the 2008 update site down right now?
You can update manually by downloading the construction update from here (outside of S&T):

The following path indeed exists in my S&T 2008:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Microsoft Streets & Trips\15.0\Data
I pasted the earlier downloaded ConstructionA7031618.dat file there, and my Streets and Trips 2008 no longer displays the message that the construction data is out of date. However, this does not seem to be the correct path to my data file. I am using XP SP3. Any suggestions?

There is a fix for the S&T 2008 construction download issue. You can get the fix here: Error message when you try to use Street & Trips or MapPoint: "Construction information for routes could not be downloaded"

Great! Reinstalling the update fixed the problem. I don't know why the program lost the previous download, but I am glad to be up and running again. Thanks, Larry.
