How to install Microsoft Streets and Trips from a thumb drive?
Don
I have Streets & Trips 2008 with GPS. It's installed on my wife's laptop. I bought a small notebook without a CD drive so I put the Streets & Trips CD in my desktop, copied files to a thumb drive, then put the drive in my Aspire, started the computer, drive D, open, and I get a list of 7 files. Now I'm stuck which file do I open to install. I tried one called start, and it asked me do I want to change setting on my computer, so out of fear I said no. I thought it would do an automatic install with instructions, but it didn't. Any ideas

I looked at a 2007 S&T DVD which should be similar. I don't see anything called Start but DVDRun.exe or Setup_ST.exe should work fine for installing from a key. Are you sure you copied the right thing?

That's it, Setup_st.exe. Should I open that to install? And if so, what about the other files? Will they install themselves, or do I do each one?

If everything is on the key including the folders, DVDRun.exe or Setup_st.exe will install the program to your netbook. I believe S&T 2008 can be licensed to 2 computers so if it is only on one other computer, you should be good to go.

It works. Great, thanks a lot.
